Alexandre Vanobberghen (Alex)

Alex is running the Boston leg of the challenge with me, he has the good looks of the group although he is French & looking at the other photos there ain't much competition!!!!

I met Alex while studying for my MSc in Liverpool, he sat next to me in one of my lectures and we have been friends ever since, he is possibly the nicest guy I have ever met although, he is French & lives in Paris but we still love him and won't hold it against him.

I'd say that running a marathon has always been something that I left to others, those who are fit for it, or those that are brave enough to train for it. It's only until lately that I realised that running for those who can't run makes all the difference: running for hours doesn't even hurt anymore!
