My Dad is running the New York leg of the challenge with me, he who thinks he looks like Harrison Ford, but looks more like Barry Manilow...

moved to Cardiff to get away from us all but now spends more time with us than he ever did, he has run marathons before & said never again but this one he said is one-off. Its gunna be kinda cool finishing the Challenge in New York anyway, but crossing the finishing line with my father knowing that I have completed the challenge and raised thousands of pounds in the process for excellent causes is something of a dream don’t ya think.

I went to watch my son participate in the London marathon, though I was glad I was not taking part I still got the adrenaline rush watching Ian cross the finishing line.
When Ian told me he had entered me for the New York race I was a bit concerned but then realising how much of a spectacular event it is, I just had to come out of retirement for the best come back since Sylvester Stallone. Also I get the chance of raising money for a fantastic cause which is also a big incentive. I will do my best not to let any body down, but their might be a time when the spirit is stronger than the body.
